UCF: HERO- Honors Educational Reach Out

Program Description

The Hillcrest Elementary After School Partnership is open to all UCF students and is an exciting, fun way to contribute to the community. The program requires a semester-long commitment. Participants volunteer at the school once a week for an hour and lead an extra-curricular club with children in the Extended Day Program. The program is offered during the afternoon, Monday through Friday, and volunteers choose the day and time they would like to volunteer. Volunteers work in a small group with other UCF students and may select any theme for their club, including past favorites such as sports, games, art, music, language, and reading. Each group plans weekly activities for their club and has access to HERO supplies and materials.
